The Studio Review Portal

Every agency we talked to during research had the same problem: getting client approval for video content is painful.

The typical flow: produce the reel, export it, upload it to Google Drive or WeTransfer, email the link, wait for the client to find the email, wait for them to give feedback over WhatsApp, re-export, repeat.

The Studio review portal is our attempt to fix this.

How it works

From any reel in a Studio workspace, you can click Share for review to generate a review link. The link:

• Expires after 72 hours
• Requires no login or app install from the reviewer
• Shows the reel, the caption, the hashtags, and the proposed posting time
• Lets the client leave a timestamped comment at any point in the reel
• Has two action buttons: Approve and Request changes

When the client clicks either button, the reel's status in your Studio workspace updates immediately. You get a notification. No email chain. No "did you get a chance to look at this?" follow-up.

Why 72 hours?

We experimented with 24-hour and 7-day links. Clients consistently treated 24-hour links as urgent (they weren't) and ignored 7-day links until day 6 (too late to publish on schedule). 72 hours hits the right balance: enough time to review thoughtfully, not so much time that it drifts.

What happens after approval

Approved reels move to Ready to publish status. If auto-schedule is on, Sphot will publish at the next optimal window. If you prefer manual control, you publish from the reel detail page.

Reels in Request changes status stay editable. You can regenerate the caption, trim the reel, or change the posting time — then send a new review link without losing the original comment thread.

Availability

Review portal is available on the Studio plan (₹8,999/mo) and Studio Scale (₹24,999/mo). Each workspace can have up to 10 active review links at a time.
